Your basement sump pumping system is the most important piece of flood defence for your basement, able to deal with storms, burst pipes and any other sudden flood hazards, pumping the water out before it can cause a damaging flood. If something should go wrong with your sump pump, and the water began to rise, you would need to take action quickly to prevent a flood, and the patented WaterWatch Alarm System provides the advance warning you need to do just that.

Sounding off like a smoke detector when water in the sump rises above the point where the pump should activate, the WaterWatch alerts you in time to address the pump-failure problem before water damage occurs in your basement.

How it Works

The WaterWatch sump pump alarm probe sits down through the sump cover or lid, extending into the sump pump basin. The end of the probe has a water-sensitive tip, which causes the alarm to sound off when it comes into contact with water. As the warning alarm activates before the water has reached the top of the sump, but after the point where the pump should have switched on, it is a reliable detector of pump failure, while still providing you with enough time to take meaningful action and avert a flood. This patented solution can save your basement from flooding in the event of pump failure for any reason.

Relying on a sump pump with no alarm to warn you of system failure makes little sense. If the house’s circuit breaker trips, the pump cord is unplugged, the pump becomes blocked or the pump fails to turn on for any other reason, you may experience costly flood damage if you have no way of knowing that the sump pump isn’t working in time. Be sure that the investment you make in your basement waterproofing system and any further basement remodelling you may do is protected with a sump pump alarm.

Available in the original corded version, the patented WaterWatch Alarm System also comes complete with battery. The alarm mounts easily and securely with adhesive tape, allowing you to discharge the line in seconds if necessary.
